AGENDA
In the words of President John F. Kennedy, “Leadership and learning are indispensable to each other.” With those words to inspire us and based on feedback from attendees in past years, the focus of Service World 2008 will be sharing knowledge and best practices amongst participants to learn strategies for leading your service organization to excellence.
We’re expanding our breakout sessions to a full afternoon. This enables us to offer a wider breadth and depth of topics, while also allowing more time for conversation among participants and ServiceBench. Warranty professionals will have an invaluable opportunity to share best practices across numerous industries and foster new relationships.
We will also be offering new breakout sessions including Leadership, Special Interest Groups, New Users, Reports 101 and Fraud Detection.
The Leadership session will bring together warranty executives to discuss:
• Future service management needs
• Customer service and performance metrics
• Business uses for reporting and dashboards
• Fraud detection metrics and methods
Special Interest Groups (SIGs) for appliances and consumer electronics will enable participants to delve into the service management issues and solutions specific to their industries including:
• Improving the service experience
• Building customer loyalty
• Managing product and part returns
• Setting industry standards
The New Users session will provide an overview of the ServiceBench application for people who are either new users or rarely use the system. Reports 101 will give a synopsis of the reports available to users and how to generate them.
There will be a special focus on how to improve fraud detection within service. We will be offering a Fraud Detection session during the breakouts as well as a panel discussion highlighting best-in-class companies and their practices during the general session.
During Service World 2008, you’ll also learn more from NEW – ServiceBench’s parent company. Tony Nader, NEW President and CEO, will present an overview of the synergies between NEW and ServiceBench. In addition, Luke Kathol, Vice President of Quality and Service Management, will discuss the changing face of service and what NEW is doing to continue driving customer satisfaction and loyalty.
EVENT
Extra! Extra! Don’t Miss the Newseum
Join ServiceBench for an evening of food, fun and fast breaking news at the newly opened Newseum — a museum dedicated to the making of news located in the heart of Washington, DC. The Newseum's newsworthy venue is perfectly complemented by its exclusive caterer — internationally acclaimed chef Wolfgang Puck.
The Newseum offers visitors an experience that blends five centuries of news history with up-to-the-second technology and hands-on exhibits. The exterior’s unique architecture features a 74-foot-high marble engraving of the First Amendment and an immense front wall of glass.
The Newseum provides a unique environment behind the scenes to experience how and why news is made. It includes 14 main exhibition galleries that explore news history, electronic news, photojournalism, world news and how the media has covered major historical events such as the fall of the Berlin Wall and the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.
There’s even an interactive newsroom where you’ll get the chance to pick up a microphone, step before a camera and experience what it's like to be a TV reporter. Then you can test your knowledge of news events with the fast-paced NewsMania game.
Don’t miss this exciting event or you’ll just have to read about it in the news the next morning.
