Frigidaire/Electrolux and other manufacturers now
offer direct deposit for servicers who use the ServiceBench Web site to
transmit warranty service claims. This new optional electronic payment method
is said to be completely secure and saves both the time and expense of going
to the bank to deposit warranty payment checks.
To sign up for this new
optional payment method just log into the ServiceBench Web site,
www.servicebench.com, and click on Admin, then Dealer Info, and finally,
Payment Info. Then simply follow instructions by entering requested
information.
For servicers who may be concerned about not receiving a
payment statement detailing which claims are being paid by each direct deposit
transaction, ServiceBench offers a simple on-line method to view and/or print
out all credits (submitted warranty service invoices), as well as any invoices
that have been rejected, just as with the soon to be old-fashioned mailed
check payment method.
To view the payment statement for each direct
deposit payment transaction while on the ServiceBench Web site, go to the
Claims Menu. Next, under the Services heading, click on Dealer Payments, which
then will display a list of credit memos. Then, click on the Eye icon or the
Statement icon to gain access to the details of each credit memo that will be
required to reconcile each direct deposit payment transaction. For a more
permanent paper copy, simply print out each payment statement to supplement
your records.
